Just put down a deposit on a 2004 X3 with 60k. Very clean, good records, etc. .. Only issue is the dash lights out ... which we pointed out to the dealer as the TCU control / battery problem. etc. They repaired it at their cost ... replacing the TCU, battery, radio amp and several modules including one for the sunroof control. Going to test the car again this week. What should we look for? What questions should we ask? Are there are other TCU related issues that should be investigated? I have read all of the threads on the subject ... and am hoping that this will put the car in good working order for purchase. Any advice or suggestions?
