Need help my 2007 X3 is not equipped with trailer hitch harness connector

Hi,

Just when I had finished installing the new hitch/bumper, routed the wiring harness and attached the bumper back and was about to connect the lighting control module (61356955253) to the car wiring harness, I noticed that my unit is not equipped with one!!!

Based on my car's last 7 digit VIN (WD72949), is there a way I can buy/install the harness? is it easy/not expensive to install? can you please provide part numbers I should use?

mine is a 2007 x3 production June07, it had it, there is a white box in the rear
you have to take out the cover were the Tire is at the center above the battery, it is very difficult to run the wire thought the right side rear wall, good luck

Yours is likely a North American model.

Based on the serial number provided, the Original Poster's vehicle is not. It shows as a European config, but it may be of Central/South American origin; they don't have a category for that in the parts book.
