X3 E83 Facelift Taillights on Pre-Facelift Model
I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I own a UK spec 2006 pre-facelift E83 X3 2.0D Sport Package with 6MT. I would like to change my taillights to the facelift model ones. Anyone done it? Any changes on wiring needed? Thank you in advance Mike

I would check realoem for consistency of part numbers for the surrounding parts.

the sheet metal on the rear quarter does not look the same... on the lower gate - appears the same... still, one would need to either try it out, or at least, put two cars together and compare side by side...
the wiring is probably slightly different, if judging by the E39 and E53 pre-facelift and facelift tails... only one to find out - try it...
