Jacking point and coil spring questions
LESJOFORS 42 084 50 (BMW 33 53 3 413 080) Is this the correct part number? realoem.com doesn't break down the part number for my vehicle. Also, I was wondering if someone could tell me if it is ok to lift the rear of the X3 from the cross member, like this? Or should I lift from the Diff? Thanks |

I would not lift it from ther diff. Better off to do it from the jacking pads or frame rails IMO.

BMW instructions say to lift only from the diff at the rear, if a central lifting point is required, at least for my 3.0si model. Seems a safe bet that earlier models are similar. Do not contact the diff cover.
