Alright, I took everyones advice and changed the order to the upgraded sport tires and rims.

Now I need to do some research to see what rims and snow tires I can find that will fit. If the weather holds true and doesn't snow from mid february on, I won't need snow tires until next winter. STL winters are pretty weak for snow anyway.

I'm comparing this to having grown up in Southeastern Wisconsin where winter is a befuddled mess of 4 ft banks of black road slush and snow that ices over every night for 5 months. Think of Canada with a bar on every other corner.

The only redeeming thing about Wisconsin is that it isn't Minnesota. (weatherwise)

Hello from Canada!

We got snow here last night. Second time this winter actually, as it snowed in early November as well. We got about 2", it turned to rain overnight. High of 9C (about 50F) forecast for tomorrow.

We aren't all living in igloos....

(Yeah, I've been to Minnesota too. We call that part of the world Winnipeg)

So, winter tire and rims. Not a lot of sites yet have the new X3 rim configurations available on their websites. Bavauto.com, one of the sites sponsors, seems to have some decent looking packages for the 2010 model. Hoping the 2011 model setups are out soon. Anyone bought from them?

Anyone have any other sites they've purchased through for rims and tires? I was looking at Wheel Max, and Tire Max and again, no 2011 packages yet for the X3.

I'm not sure if the 2010 configurations are compatable with the 2011 model.

Unlikely that the 2010 and 2011 are the same size wheels or tires. Entirely different platforms.
