www.autoweek.com is reporting that along with Alpina B7, the Alpina X5 has good possibility of hitting the US shores. B3, B5, and B6 will not be offered due to close competition with M3, M5 and M6.

In other news, anyone catch X3 win 2 stages of the Dakar Rally.!

And finally, is anyone watching the DTM on Speed channel. I just cant believe Benz and Audi are having so much fun without BMWs presence. Maybe with the new V8 powered M3, there will be a nice 3 way Deutch Touring competition.

That was then. Now BMW North America has hatched a fiendishly clever plan to bring us not only the new “less-ugly-trunk” B7, but possibly also an Alpina-fied version of the next X5 sport/utility vehicle.
