You can order from BMW/Mini of San Francisco on Amazon Marketplace. Their P/N is 82 11 0 149 391 -- I plugged this number into realoem.com, and it came back as invalid, but the part has BMW logos all over it, and has BMW North America, LLC., printed on the bottom of the directions.

You will get a female aux plug that you can connect any male/male jumper from the headphone jack of your phone or other device, and play your music over the stereo system. Aux will become one of the inputs when you press the Mode button and walk through the inputs that are available. Since the display is already out of the car, connecting the Aux jack is easy, and worth the effort.

You can find the nav screen on Amazon also. There are several YouTube videos on how to replace the screen, and to install the aux port. The directions packed with the cable suggest installation time at 0.5 hours.

There are two aux ports available, one has a small 3-pin connector, and the other has a 6- or 8-pin connector. They have the same part number, except for the last digit. The 3-pin variety has a 1 for the last digit, the 6- or 8-pin has a 0 (zero).
I recall there were 2 replacement screens ... one was bad the other good.
Thanks for the aux suggestion!

I'm updated to v32 now :-)

However, when I went to start the car the engine wouldn't turn over and the front lights started flashing like crazy. Tried it 2 more time with same results.
Put a batt charger on it and it fired up immediately but the 4x4 light stayed lit.
Let it idle a little bit and right as I was turning off the ignition the motor rev'd.
I left it shut off and came in to start searching for similar issues.
I guess it could be the batt going dead, but not sure what the engine rev was about or the 4x4 light staying lit.

Turn the steering wheel lock-to-lock and the 4x4 light should go away.
