Just recently I my X5 started making this weird noise when making turns at low speeds (5-30mph). The car feels solid as it turns/drives. Unfortunately this noise seems to be getting a little worse. There is still ATF in the reservoir... Hoping this is not a steering rack issue... I read that someone had a similar issue and added Lubrizol 6178 (P/N: 83 29 0 447 661) to lube the power steering gear??? My questions to anyone are: has this happened to you before? I know it's hard to make a diagnoses through a video but what do you guys thank is going on here? I'll attach the video(s) of the noise and a pic from the thread I was reading.
