Air suspension compressor repair kit

Hi All,

I am new to this forum and, well, am actually an Audi Owner!! ok I know, I know, so why do i post in here?? well... I managed to repair my Audi allroads air suspension compressor manufactured by Wabco some time ago, it turns out from some of your members getting in touch with me this compressor is found on many cars, BMW being one of them, hence here I am, to give you information should you wish to use it.

Please find here
my post on our VWAudi forum detailing my very 1st findings of a stripped Wabco compressor from my allroad early in 2012: Allroad Air Suspension Compressor strip & repair

it contains info on stripping it and possible solutions I looked at, from a repair kit from VW, to a repair kit I can provide which has a new precision machined PTFE piston ring, bolts and o-ring seal to allow you to refurbish your compressor and give it a new lease of life,

This kit is found here: bagpipingandy | eBay

The compressor found on models using this Wabco unit is the same appart from the mounting brackets and electrical connections but the internal assembly is the same uinit and this kit fits all.

I know this is a very poor 1st post and sounds like a sales pitch but please forgive me, it is intended for information for you guys to let you know there are solutions other than buying a new compressor, our cars cost enough without eating our wallets on full exchange units, rather than the option to repair what is actually wrong, the kit is ideal for us DIYer's looking for a cost effective and robust solution to refurbishing your air suspension compressor.

Again appologies to Forum Mods if this is removed, but hopefully this is seen as information sharing and not a sales tact.

please see above links for your reference & If you have any questions please just ask I will help as best as I can. My experience is with the allroad but I would be more than happy to share experiences if you have any questions.

best regards

Andy
