silly question though would it be a simple job to change the mirror from none motor to motor. might be able to fit a servo and feed a wire through , and fit a gearbox in , unless the actual internals are too different

You can look for motorized mirrors on eBay. The dealer price is craaazy. The internals are different and are not available easily. Some of the pieces (the ones that tend to break) are available from some international sellers on eBay.

motorized prices are daft aswell.
i think its going to be one of them jobs , that i will do but only when i find a suitable mirror,. im not really over fussed about a motor, i will get it changed but not in a rush ![]() but at least i know why mine didnt move
