Hi guys, double newbie here - new to own BMW and new to X5

nice truck ,but I have a few questions?
1] how did you get the old seats in the front if it's a 06?
2]after market exhaust tips?
3] which engine is that 3.0? with all the bells and whistles of a 4.8is..........never seen this before.

So listen to this - I come home in it from NC, my wife gets in to driver's seat and goes "nice car, I'd love to drive this" I was shocked as she never sparked any interest in driving (I mean she does have a licence and knows how to clutch, back in Ukraine it was 3 month school, every day driving lessons on a stick shift car to go to DL exam, there was no automatics back then) but trough out many years we had a Jetta 2.0T with DSG, we had a Honda Accord, Subaru Legacy 3.6R, not a single time she said "I'd love to drive it" I was like " If you would have said a single word, I'd buy an automatic, sure as hell it would not take a year to find a nice one"

Hi, what do you mean "Old seats"? someone replaced seats with some old seats?
I mean they match rear's in color, what are the odds of someone finding some other seats in gray and replace'em...
It is the way i bought it, first time, first BMW, if you say that something is mismatching - I would not know the difference.

What I've read is that BMW took most popular options and loaded'em in to last production year before jumping in to new body style in '07

Also according to carfax it is a 1 owner vehicle, they offered buy back reassuring that it is major accident and other serious issues free, etc.

Nice! Those are great exhaust tips and score on the running boards. Mine has all the same options except those.

Those seats are the sport seats

Also the engine is the M54b30.

those seats are the ones I had in my4.6is which they stop making in 03.the car is in Great shape...........not knocking it bro.

Wow, loaded with Navi, Sport Package, Sport Seats, and running boards, AWESOME find!

Odds are the PO put those exhaust tips on, stock configuration came with "black chrome" turn down 3.0 tips, either way they look sweet!

I'm 90% sure they used the same sport seats throughout the entire E53 lifespan. I think the comfort seats were an option for the facelift E53s.
