Exhaust headers
So of course when browsing for headers on eBay it seems like there's a multitude of them but when it's time to actually buy them they're sold out everywhere.
Searched for X5 E53 headers and 325/330i headers yet none are to be found. Any help with locating some?

Are you just looking for generic ebay headers? I think the general consensus is they hardly ever fit right. But they are cheap enough to give it a shot.

Those are the same ones I keep seeing. If i'm going the E46 header route then I need the 325/330i fitment. It's longer therefore a better fit on the X.

Get the 330 fitment, you'll need about a 1" extension to mate up to the factory midpipes. Its been done before, the headers are cheap at about $100
If you don't have emissions testing and can live with a CEL go for it

I assume your goal is improved performance? If so, and if you have not made other mods to the rest of the exhaust system I suggest considering that route as well. And then weigh to cost to the supposed increase in HP and TQ to decide what mods will deliver the best results per dollar spent. If your 3.0 is stock there are engine mods that are very likely to be the best value.

Exhaust headers
I've already did a muffler delete and put in new tips, installed an x-pipe, an AFE CAI, installed a pedalbox, and tuned it with the conforti shark injector. The headers are pretty much my last thing on the performance list with the Bosch mustang fuel injectors going on there somewhere down the line. I'm located in Minot, North Dakota so I won't have to worry about emissions testing therefore I don't have the need for cats as long as I'm registered here.

How did you like the shark injector? I have a 4.8iS exhaust and an AFE intake and wanted to shark it to complete the "bolt-ons"

I can feel the difference. The shifting is smoother and it has a better response. I can get to redline all the way up to 3rd gear and it hits 6500 rpm before it auto-shifts in 4th. I'm sure it would work even better on manual transmissions. Should've done it sooner.
