Storing brake rotors specifically the front ones

Hello all, had rotors stored in original box flat on a carpet in the garage for ahmmm 6 years!….out of curiosity took em out and the bottom one whose face was in contact with ground as such (although in box) was rusted…..and not in a uniform way, rather pockets of bubbled rust here and there…sanded down as best I could with an orbital grinder and fine grade paper…..and most of you guys will say there are useless now as they are not level…BUT until I get to point of using them can I spray em with anti rust spray, wrap them, and store em upright? Or will they warp….?and if they warp….what stopping them warping whilst they are installed and upright on car….?
