P0221 - Powertrain (ECU fault)

Hi

The last couple weeks I have received the following error from the ECU.

P0221 - Powertrain
Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "B" Circuit range/Performance Problem.

It has occurred three times now, while I have been on the high away in approx 110 Km/h.

Symptoms
Driving in approx 110km/h. Then "Engine failsafe prog" comes up and the DSC, ABS and BRAKE lights turns on. And the engine goes into "Limp" mode.
If I then stop the car and wait a few minutes the message and the lights are off again and the car drives as normal.
(It was raining one time and the two other times it was dry and sunny)

As said above I get P0221 code while reading the ECU, however this message is gone from the ECU after waiting a few minutes (as with the error lights).

I've tried to clean the MAF sensor (read it somewhere here on the forum). And I've checked the voltage on the battery (12.x when engine off and 14.4 when engine one).

I've google it however I only find cases with the P0221 error code together with other errors codes.
But I have noticed one thing what might indicate that it might be some electrical issues, my LCD display in the gauge fluctuates randomly (pixel rows lightning up and dims again randomly).

Any ideas what to look for here?
