I've both searched and looked through the how to's. I must just be missing it....


How do you reset the service indicator system?

I actually never searched the web I just looked here. I would have thought this would be in the how to's...if not in it's own subject at least linked to at the end of the "how to change your oil"

But that isn't in the how to section. That's in the article section.

I haven't gotten to the articles section yet. I just joined the forums. To me..I would have expected it to be in the how to's section. The article does start with the words how to after all

Where are the How-to's on your computer? I clicked "How-to's" at the the top of the page, then "X5 Tips and Tricks, and "Engine and Transmission" section....

You're right there is a link to it there. I looked 3 or 4 times and somehow never saw it.

Anyway, thanks for the links. I may have never found it even if it was right in front of my face.

No sweat...the drop down tab of links and info could be made to be more findable, sortable, imo.

From fading memory, there was pressure by BMW on what the board owners/admins could 'have' on the board, (copyright/BMW throwing its weight around/even the board original name), and thus the info tabs are an entryway into searching for info.
