well I ended up taking off the belt and putting it back on and the noise went away

Do you know why the noise went away? What did you do that was different than the first time?

I installed the belt "wrong" once (I think I had it on the wrong side of the idler or tensioner) on my N62

It would squeak a bit when I blipped the throttle. I think I ran it for about 25 miles before I figured out what was wrong. Oops.

I have made many similar mistakes along the way. Like you I just say oopsie. When I stop learning I start dying.

mine was only squeaking above 2500 rpm with the ac on. luckily I only did about 4 miles before I fixed it

I must have installed the belt wrong. I just removed the entire belt, wiped it clean and installed it back
