That said, once I hooked up the software and could read the evaporator temperature was 45F and one heater core was 150F, even when IHKA was not calling for heat, the valve was the prime suspect. It was a lesson for me that I need to change my thinking and turn to software earlier while troubleshooting...

Question, when you installed theses clamps, did the A/C blow cool air evenly from the A/C air vent? If so, you are in the right track of troubleshooting. Food for though, here in my location, we don't need (require) heater system. Sometimes, the coolant leak inside the heater core, the easiest way it to fix is to eliminate the coolant entering into the heater core by disconnecting/plug-up these hoses. So even you clamped these hoses , you can still drive your car.
