None of them are going to be very bright if you are looking for the current gen (or even e70) type of brightness.
Unfortunately it's a limitation of the light tubes in our headlights... Only way to fix it is to bake open the headlights and retrofit aftermarket rings.

I agree with Crystal - but what you could try is to code your corner amber lamps off. IMO the angel eyes will pop just a bit more when the corner amber lamps are off. Coding should be easy and not very expensive. You can even do it remotely. Perhaps that will help just a bit. If you don't like it or feel unsafe you can code them back on.
If you decide to do this then I suggest you also make a list of the other options you want coded and get them all done at the same time.

considered this earlier, the highest wattage LED bulb I saw for Angel eyes for E53 or E83, is a meager 3W one.
I had concerns about light failure warning and adding resistor and resulting heat issue to consider the swap.

I put 15 watt LED's in place of the OEM halogens for the angel eye rings in my E53 and they certainly made a big difference. No more dull amber look, but a much brighter white light to the rings. They do stand out quite well in daylight and I now (as a matter of habit) simply turn the lights on to the first position (park lights) and use them as a daytime running light. I believe there are ways of wiring it up so they come on automatically or coding them as DRL's but for me, this is the simplest way...

Sorry Ven - gave you a bum-steer. They were in fact 20 watt and purchased off eBay about 4 months ago. Listing is no longer live, but I'm sure you'll be able to find other sellers offering something similar. Mine came with aluminum ballast resistors, with a nice heat-sink on the outside. I simply cable tied these to the excess wiring and slipped the whole mess inside the aperture where the OEM lights were. Here's the original listing info. Suggest you copy, paste and search on eBay.
