Glad it helped guys. I can't claim credit, just passing info. Someone on the E70 side of the site directed me towards the plugins. No idea how long they will work as Photobucket will undoubtedly figure it out and do something eventually. Save every DIY you can as .PDF in the meantime.

It's funny, I don't know if you saw my purchase thread, it's not as informative as yours, but my '04 4.8is is also a Cali car and I believe it has the same pretty engine bay mods.

^I did not. I'll pull it up. Your engine bay is definitely cleaner than mine was.

Engine bay definitely looks very familiar. I verified mine has the Dinan throttle body and I'm supposing the MAF as well. As an aside, check your strut bar. Mine had a sheared bolt (the one that goes into the bar and has the eyelet) behind the windshield washer reservoir that I had to take and get welded. I never noticed it until performing some maintenance and had to move the washer tank. LOL I had it re-welded and could tell a difference.

Edit: Nevermind, remember now after checking your post history. You traded the GTI for it after all?
