Rear Wiper Problem

Hello all, I just bought a 2001 BMW X5 4.4i It had problems with the rear wiper among other things. The rear wiper would not work at all and the rear washer pump would stay on continuously, even with the key removed. I unplugged the pump so it wouldn't burn out. Since then I have installed a new rear wiper motor. All was good. The wiper worked and fluid sprayed out on the back window. Now washer fluid leaks from the front somewhere (put in 4L of washer fluid next day most of it was gone) I could see a puddle on the ground on the drivers side. The rear wiper is acting up. When I turn the key to acc or on position, the rear wiper and rear washer pump will activate. It doesn't seem to do this if you start the X5. I read a thread on here, something about a relay? Wondering if there is bad wiring somewhere..
