Central locking and Windshield washer issue

Hey guys, new member here, but not totally a newbie.

So as to give a quick back stroy:

Was cruising for a bruising in north metro Atlanta and ran across a badly neglected E53 with a broken timing chain and some interior issues(namely, miscreants removed a door lock here, a window regulator there).

Bought the car from the little buy here pay here dealer where it was sitting, had the engine rebuilt and bought it home.

My issues are:

1. Central locking button in middle console does not work. Switch is getting pulse. Hazard button does work. Tried 3 different switches and same result, the button does nothing.
The car was dead for about a year without power. The key(brand new, got it with the car) DOES open the rear hatch, but does not lock/unlock the doors.
I've downloaded the PDF that for the E53/E38/E39 chassis, will read as soon as I can. All fuses are A OK
If any members have a solution to this I'd be eager to hear.

2. Windshield sprayers for the headlights and front windshield do not work. I see 3 motors going around the reservoir. Which motor actuates the front nozzles? The rear washer IS working though. All fuses are intact

I do have some other issues( i have the DSC trifecta of lights) but I can deal with them. The AC compressor is toast, and another is inbound to me this week.

Below are some pics of the process/ordeal

This is the day I picked it up

I hate the rims. Hated what they did to the tails. Could not even comprehend how one would think the tails are legal.

Lol at the "Not for Sale"

Cleaned up a bit

Picked these up for a good price. Just need to get some fronts at some time

The daily driver..E34 540/6

The X5 is for the wife. And, knowing that maintenance and other sundries will always have to be done with these cars, I picked up something else to share the load(chain guides already done on this one). 2000 540it M-sport

X5 Engine Job

Chain bit into the front timing cover

Nasty, but was cleaned up

Re-finshed the heads, replaced the bent valves and all seals. Cleaned up yadda yadda yadda

Cleaned off the valve covers and front timing covers. Painted in wrinkle finish

How she sits today

The white E38 is my short sport. Really like to keep it parked to tell the truth. Alpine on black.

Thanks for looking guys, and thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks bro. Believe me, I've done this resurrection thing ALOT of times. Lol. That said, I believe I've found the culprit in the central locking issue. Car is most likely in Transport mode, as ALL symptoms match some data I found to support this conclusion.

Quite a hoot to drive that 540T is. The 3.15 rear makes such a difference. My E34 has a 2.93, and I've been letting the 3.15 sit on the floor for a while. Need to have that diff serviced and installed. Been busy getting the X square away, so I can get the wife OUT OF MY ##$$% 7 series...

Very nice save. Poor thing was bound for the crusher one day.

BTW... I want a 540iT msport in the worst way. Tried to convince the wife to get that instead of an e83 but she was having none of it.
