Part of electric seat adjustment not working
Randomly this morning I lost the ability to move the seat in my 4.6is forward, and down. It will go up and back but not anywhere else, and has left me in a pretty uncomfortable driving position.
I did some digging and it looks like the seat actuators go bad but typically people are losing ALL adjustment. Also, my steering wheel adjustment works perfectly fine. Any ideas before I go ripping things apart? Brian |

is it easy to put 12v to those actuators ? I`ve never done just an idea whaty we do with actuators on power wheel chairs to see if they are working or not, before replacing them for nothing.

If you try hitting one of the memory buttons does it move the seat to your programmed setting or at least to a setting that would move it forward and down of where it currently is? If that moves it in that direction then it could possibly be the contacts in the switch or maybe even the plug at the switch, just a thought.

My guess is that it's starting to go bad. Mine would randomly stop working, sometimes the steering wheel would be really slow to adjust, sometimes the recline wouldn't work, eventually I lost all steering wheel adjust but seat still worked, later the whole seat adjustability went out.

Appreciate the feedback. Sounds like I should just go ahead and order a new actuator piece, will do.
