Car shut down while driving at freeway speeds

The question here is there NO pressure/no volume (pump), or no volume (filter)

Drag her home, inspect the pumps - running or not?

Update

Now the car won't start at all, cranks strong but doesn't fire.

I have the back seat lifted and put my hand on the passenger side pump as I turn the key and I feel and hear nothing, so bad pump right?

Filter is about a month old. I replaced it recently after having long/hard starts after the car warmed up.

Any chance it could be the fuel pump relay? How can I test that if so?

I appreciate everyone's input, you guys are awesome

You must have a long reach if you can turn the ignition switch and still touch the fuel pump cover in the back seat.

That would indicate a bad fuel delivery problem. Now a bad fuel pump is probably the main reason, but you could have a blown fuse so the fuel pump is not spinning, a bad relay so power to the fuel pump is not being transferred, or an open circuit to the fuel pump. Better to confirm what is the problem before throwing parts at it.

Swapped out the pump and it fired right up.
