Finally......

Finally, I'm going to give the X it's 2015 detail.....

It's had a rough year.
Got a dent on the hood - spent awhile at the shop....

4 Weeks later, while parked for 30 minutes, someone decides to key the hood.
More time in the shop....

Electrical Issues.
Sunroof Cassette Replacement
Diag of Warped BNIB Brembo 385mm iron
And the list goes on....

Oops. Forgot to mention I hit 3 potholes on 3 separate occasions all in the course of 1 month during the end of winter. What a bummer/bimmer. Took out my rubber each time. Wheel was okay, but blowouts each time

Just one more OCD kink to deal with and then she get's a proper polish and coat. In time for at least the fall and then head on winter.

I've pretty much held back since the paint had to cure between the bodyshop visit. Plus, while it's nice and glazed and shiny, they always put some level of marring on them....

Add in the last 2X the car straight up died on me, and both times, it had to be pushed a bit in neutral.....with some hands causing marring.

OK. I'm off my soapbox.

Welcome to living in New York City! Sounds like it was a normal summer.

Sorry to read of your challenges. I know that they grind on your soul after awhile.

What exactly was the deal with the brembo BBK? You got a new warped 385 disc rotor? Did brembo replace it or how was it handled?

It's complicated. The X is not mine. It's the wifey's. I did the iron replacement and then took the X for a spin one weekend about 3 months later and said WTF is this....
Then I started on the front end. Front end was tight, but went in steps. LCA bushings, etc. Last item was bj. Did not resolve the shimmy. Front end still tight. At this point (even though I knew it had to be iron), I reached out to RT to see what their response would be. Really disappointed on how I think this might play out

Update to the OP.
Not sure why the X is hating me so much this year.
Even replaced all the weatherstripping on all 4 door just to keep her nice and fresh...

How bad was the bite on the Panoramic sunroof cassette repair?

I pulled the fuse on mine to stop it opening on the Hwy by itself.....

Mine was actually non-pano.

I let the Indy deal with this. Figured his standard 2 year warranty on P&L was worth the Indy cost of doing it.....
The casette alone was around 18-1900. Then you add in time....
