Toyo Proxes STII in staggered 19 - Opinions please

Just want to hear your opinions on these Toyo Proxes STII, preferably, if you have them in staggered 19s. How do they handle, wear, and noise? Will you buy them again? Thanks.

these look like winter tires, if you are in Southern California, perhaps something on performance side will be more practical and surely look better.

Look at Firestone destination st, i have them on 18" wheels, and it is one good looking tire, if they're available in 19" size, should be considerable option.

I bought my 4.8 with these pre-installed. I have only driven with them in the summer season and I have zero complaints. Very smooth and quiet. Never really pushed them to any kind of limits so I can't comment on grip but FWIW there is nothing negative that stood out.

I've had them since August of 2012, over 20k miles on them now on my staggered 20's, no complaints, and I drive on them year round, including light snow. Would definitely buy again.

Made in USA tire as well if that makes a difference to you

Toyo Proxes STII is NOT a winter tire, it's All Seasons (or some would call it NO Season ). Tire choices are all a compromise. As the X5 is not my "performance vehicle", my tire choice will reflect that. Although, I do live in a 2-season Southern California, I do make an occasional jaunt up the mountains for some snowboarding fun...so an All-Season tire is more practical for me. Most of the time, the roads are cleared, but don't want to get caught with summer tires in the near freezing temperatures - tried it once and it wasn't a very pleasant experience

They will be perfectly fine for your CA. Handles great in the snow, ice, and rain (not track car great but pretty good for an SAV). Ive driven through ice storms and a few winter vortex in the midwest. I have had them for several seasons on my 04 3.0 with style 87s. I think around 20k miles the inside of the rear tire wears out because of the way the x5 is cambered. I've switched to the newer toyos just to try them out. Otherwise I wouldn't mind sticking to the stii.

I've kept out of this tire thread because the OP is looking for a "one tire to do it all" on a non-tracked vehicle.

I had the original Michelin mxv4 on the stock 18s. Really quiet tires even when the threads were almost all gone lol. Not so good in the snow. I've had the STii a couple of times changed in the back and now I have proxes 4plus. Supposed to be improved over the stii so I wanted to try it out. So far so good with about 3k or so miles.
