Replaced my driver's front door handle carrier about 1.5 years ago with another BMW dhc part, at about 230,000 kms. The passenger front door is being replaced tomorrow now at 245,000 kms. Bought a Febi brand this time
Hope it lasts another 245,000 kms.

I'm very lucky. I know how the handle should feel when being pulled out/up properly BUT most importantly I park in heated garages at both office and home and that's predominantly the places he will slumber in between drives so the door handles stay dry (avoid freezing)
