hid (xenon weird issue)solved

my hid on the left is working normally (nice bright white light), but the 1 on the right has a purplish tinge to it,I assume its the hid bulb getting weak ,correct me if I`m wrong.
Has anyone had this issue with their hids?if so what was the problem?

Its time to replace it.
I always replace both of them when one is showing signs of giving up.

k cool ,I ordered a pair off ebay(52.00can)went with the factory 4300 though(I don`t like change). they look straight forward to do.
I didn`t know if a ballast would cause this issue or not, I suspect with a ballast if it went there would be no power going to the hid at all.
I went to part source and they wanted 100.00can for just 1.

He is saying because of the purple tinge it looks like the aftermarket 12000K rice bulbs that are pink lol

And yes its not a ballast, if it was you wouldn't get enough power to strike the bulbs on. Fading to pink is a dying bulb, it doesnt die like an incandescent

put my hid`s in yesterday, all is good , replaced them as a pair, 15 min job tops super easy to install. probably would have been quicker if I could see where the bottom torx screw goes . for the housing unit.
