What do you guys think of my tailights?

I didn't really like how the large white/clear part of the taillight looked against the black paint, ( I like it on other colors) so I played around a little bit. It's not permanent, I can always revert back. What do you guys think?

(there is a bright reflection on the top part of the inner taillights)

For reference, how it looked stock back when I had the wheels black (they're silver again)

I used this and some clear coat

It looks nicely done but it does remind you of the E70 and looks unbalanced and then you feel like it should have another clear stripe on the inner boot light!
Have you thought about fitting a chrome strip over the reversing light and under the turn signal?

Thanks. I tried playing around with strips of silver pin stripe in different widths and lengths kind of like what your describing and it was just too much for me. I couldn't find a way to do it without looking overly tacky or overdone.

My goal in fact was not to make them look like the E70's which is why I kept the clear reverse light

yeah it looks good and very tasteful. your vehicle definitely looks better with Silver wheels on a black X5 then the black wheels. I have a set of 4.6is staggard whels that I am considering having them powdercoated in a shadow chrome like what came on my BMW E39 M5. I think this may look pretty good on my black X5 4.6 is
