Key fob batteries keep dying.. ignition charging issues??

So I recently bought a 4.6 is, and it came with 6 keys, lol. So something tells me this isn’t a key battery problem, but perhaps a key battery charging issue at the cars ignition barrel.

Two of those keys are fairly new(1-4 years max) and one day recently neither of them allowed the doors to lock or unlock through the fob.

The central locking system works(gas door locks on the twist of the key)

So, I bought some new replacement batteries. But I’m wondering if maybe the batteries just aren’t receiving a charge while in the ignition? Any ideas on how I would trouble shoot this?
