Key fob batteries keep dying.. ignition charging issues??
Two of those keys are fairly new(1-4 years max) and one day recently neither of them allowed the doors to lock or unlock through the fob. The central locking system works(gas door locks on the twist of the key) So, I bought some new replacement batteries. But I’m wondering if maybe the batteries just aren’t receiving a charge while in the ignition? Any ideas on how I would trouble shoot this? |

There have been some previous threads on similar issues so maybe do a search to see what you can find. Just a short time ago someone posted a link to a remote tester so that might be worthwhile for you to look into as well. I have never heard of a problem with the charging ring and it is really unlikely that you have a battery problem.
