DSC light on... but wait!!!

2005 4.4

My DSC light came on, with no other lights... i did the search. I did all the tests and steering angle reset. Tried holding the button to reset.

Finally my buddy has the OBD reader . It reads no faults!!!. I pulled the battery to reset.. nothing. He reset the computer from the OBD.. nothing...
he tried to clear the light fault... nothing.

I am trying to sell the truck, so any help would be appreciated.

A regular obd scanner isn't going to read a Dsc fault

Do what everyone else do when they have a light on when they are about to sell the X, put black electrical over the light.

Tell the new owner that you had your indy look at it and he told you that it was just a 20 bucks sensor that needs to be replaced. Knock off 20 bucks from your asking price.

You need to find someone with INPA and get the car scanned using BMW software. You'll be stabbing in the dark if you try to throw parts at the issue. Try getting into whatever the most popular BMW forum may be on your side of town, and ask if someone can scan the truck for you with INPA. Better to spend $30 and know the problem, than $300 and still have it.
