Are PDC Sensor known to go bad randomly?

Are PDC Sensor known to go bad randomly?

While removing the front bumper I disconnected the pdc sensor and when I put everything back together I was getting a pdc error. Put it reverse, get continuous beep the the button stays flashing.

I checked with pa soft and it’s telling me the front left sensor is bad but it was working before. So I thought I didn’t plug it correctly and redid it and same.

Just find it odd that just by unplugging it would cause it to go bad.
