Are PDC Sensor known to go bad randomly?

While removing the front bumper I disconnected the pdc sensor and when I put everything back together I was getting a pdc error. Put it reverse, get continuous beep the the button stays flashing.

I checked with pa soft and it’s telling me the front left sensor is bad but it was working before. So I thought I didn’t plug it correctly and redid it and same.

Just find it odd that just by unplugging it would cause it to go bad.

Yeah that's odd. I wouldn't have guessed that would happen either but anything's possible. Sure the wiring didn't get a break in it from removal?

Other than them being extremely difficult to get to clip in sercurely... ^ That's what I would check. The sensors themselves seem pretty robust.

Well I ordered a new one but what do ya know, the old one fixed itself and started working this morning. I guess I'll keep the new sensor as backup.

You never know how much you miss something until it's gone, not having PDC for 2-3 Days really made me miss this feature lol
