Installation of BT Module

Hi Everyone

I have nearly completed my 2003 X5 restoration.

Major service (all fluids, plugs etc etc), New control arm bushes, 4 x New tyres (Falken's), Air Conditioning Repair and re-gas, Transmission fix, and it runs sweetly! (All up 25% of the price I paid for the car! oh well I was warned)

Anyhow, now I have covered off the basic's, I am into improvements. I have a great indy shop doing the work, and I need BT. (my other cars have it and you really miss it)

So the advice I have been given is the factory module works well, anyone out there bought one of ebay, had it professionally installed and had a great outcome?

Will my wife's/kid's iphone5/6s be able to stream music?
Will my Galaxy 5 work?

Comments/up/downs - let me know..

Cheers
stu

Watching the answers with interest, as I'm thinking of adding BT to my '05 as well, Stu.

BT music streaming is a relatively new thing only appearing in cars within the last few years...and way past the last e53.

Any BMW BT module that would be plug n play...again...would be made before music streaming technology...and would only have phone call capabilities.

Hopefully those that have installed aftermarket BT that has the features you want will chime in with what works and what's available.
