Looks like a $600 "special" to me. Worn out @147k but driven to 174k. If it ran, it is only worth 2k-4k depending on the rest of the vehicle.

Just after the noise from under the hood got Louder
You know that this ad posting is in south side of Chicago right? Rust bucket. Here is my bet: a few repairs in the last 50k to pass inspection, opening the hood will be like opening a coffin, and it will need every maintenance item completed before it would be road worthy as a daily driver. Better off buying a south of the Mason-Dixon Line lower mileage x5 for the same money.

That's a lot to ask for a high mileage, non-runner, with unknown mechanical needs. I typically try to buy mechanics specials for $500ish if in good shape.
Some chassis' markets won't allow that anymore though, e30's come to mind. Last "mechanic's special" one of those I bought had a broken timing belt and I had to pay $1500 for it. Nice convertible though... and I made double after repairs/upgrades.
