I vote "DO IT"
I am adding one to my Minivan as we go out at night and do tacky Light tours one or two nights each week. For those in the Wash DC area see Holly's tacky light tour website: http://www.fairfaxchristmaslights.com/  It is only for Yucks and Grins and it is not like it is WELDED to the grill.
