2001 Angel eye wiring issues

Finally wired up my angel eyes in the X5 to only find that they dont light up....... (bummer). I checked these previously to the install with a power supply and they light up fine. Below is the post I followed for my install.

http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...5-00-02-a.html

My wire harness was a little different than the one in the DIY post. The pink wire that runs to the ECU in the post is red in my harness. The brown wire that runs to the footwell lighting in the post is white in my harness.

everything is connected accordingly... I happened to have an additional set of angel eyes and plugged them in as well and have gotten the same results. The power wire is connected to the positive terminal, the ground is connected to the hood ground, the red wire is connected to the red/white stripe wire in the ECU and the White wire is connected to the footwell lighting. All connections seem secure. I will post some pics, I am under the impression I am doing something wrong. Let me know what you think.

I'm about to do my 2002 - I ordered the Spyder OEM lookalikes... I'll probably hit you up with a few questions!

Feel free, all works well now. Had a crimp connection that wasn't sufficient. Those look nice! I built my own I'll post pictures!

Not a fan at all - especially on the ECU harness... yikes. But when absolutely necessary, I always add a dab of Dielectric grease in there.
