Finally not below freezing so I was motivated enough to snap some pictures. I really need to brush up on how to work my camera, as these pictures look awful.

You mean like this?

And now an output shot at 1/80 f/4.5! Mom commented how bright they were this morning, so that's a success. I don't drive the X5 unless I'm back home on break. My E36 is my primary car.

Got a shot from directly in front of one of the lights? Want to see more of the Niteshades look. I went to wipe a fingerprint off my chrome bezel just now, with a microfiber, and it f'd it up like sandpaper. The chrome on these is stupid thin. It wiped off with one light stroke.

Click on the flickr photo for higher resolution. I put on the Niteshades thick, so it looks glossy black. If I were to do it again, I'd do thinner coats so it was more of a smoked chrome look. Niteshades adhere to the chrome bowls very well with little prep, so that is a benefit over using traditional spray paint.

They are just really old Hella RS6 projectors with clear lenses. Most of the parts for this retrofit were bought in 2011, when the Evo projector was $$$ and this was $.

Nope VHT has no adhesion to the chrome with a light coat - wiped it right off. I thought it was a "dye" at least that's how it works with tails. Guess there's nothing to dye with the chrome coating - oh well.
