Intoducing Myself

Hi everyone my name is Will, I'm from southern NJ and have been a member here for around a month, which is when I bought my X5. I been a member of several car web sites in the past and I must say, this is by far the most intelligent / friendliest group of individuals I have seen on any car forum. I bought a CPO 2003 3.0, with very low miles, Topaz Blue / Grey / light Poplar interior and fully loaded with goodies. I must say, I love this vehicle! The 3.0 is such a smooth engine and surprisingly has a lot of torque. I wish I had the funds for the 4.4, but hey, I'm only 25 and hopefully the airlines start hiring again soon.

The moding begun the first day I bought it. Thanks to your great DYI guides I have so far:
Hard Wired my V1
IceLink iPod(I love it!)
Oem Clear Taillights / Side Markers
Titanium Grille
Custom Cargo Liner from GetItCovered (awesome liner!!)
Thule Snow Cat

Future Mods:
4.6 Exhaust Tips (ordered)
Titanium Hatch Bar
Brushed Aluminum Running Boards
Style 87 Rims
Axxis Brake Pads

I loaned my Camera out so I will post pictures as soon as I get it back. One last thing, what do you think of this deal on ebay for the OEM Style 87's.

Cheers -

Welcome, Will. I'm not sure about the pricing on that wheel set, but I will say that if you are planning on using that set in the snow, as the listing suggests, I would think again. 20 inch wheels w/ Michey Diamaris will perform like a sled in the snow. If your 3.0i comes with 17's or 18's, you may want to keep for snow. (Not that you get much down there in the tropics of Jersey.)

By the way, love your color combo (same as mine).

Again, welcome and good luck.

I'll keey my crapy looking stock 17's for the winter and use the 87's for the summer time fun. The price looks reasonable for OEM, if infact they are oem, and they do come with rubber which is a plus, assuming the are already balanced.

NJ tropical paradice? lol more like the Armpit of America ;-)

Gerg here is a picture of the cargo liner. I bought this from the same guy last month, they shipped within a day or 2. The liner is extremely light weight (not even a pound) seems to be made of some sort of foam material and it has no "plastic like" scent that other liners have.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-B...spagenameZWDVW The fit is perfect, and can be re-formed by using your fire place if it warps or is creased.

I never said "paradise", just tropics, as in the warmer part.

Believe me, I know. I am an ex-pat from NJ (northerner, "bennie" to you)

Well, I don't have any current pictures but here are a few I took at the stealer. I'll get some new ones up ASAP.

Those 20's from the link above would look very nice Let me know what you think about that Ebay deal.
