SOLVED! Rear Wiper motor

Working on my rear wiper motor that stopped working the other day. Confirmed I had 12V and ground at motor/plug. No go. Took it out of car. Removed cover for electrics. Didn't see anything odd right away. I applied 12v directly to contacts and the motor works great. Something on the circuit board is fried and I don't know how nor know anyone that could diagnose it. So, ordered one off of Ebay. So frustrating that the mechanism is fine, but the electronics have s%$# the bed. One little incident of sticking in ice and it is fried. I have had Ferrari's that were less temperamental and fragile than this thing.
OK, wise ass comments aside, I fixed this issue today. I did buy a used one off of Ebay. It arrived and I checked the circuit board right away and the same chip had a hole and burn marks. I tried it anyway, and contrary to the sellers assertion that it was working perfectly, it wasn't. Sent back, ordered another one. That arrived and all is good again. AND, this is an issue I searched high and low on and never saw a solution or suggestion on how to solve. My rear washer has not worked since I bought this X. Did all the usual diagnoses. Nada. It is working now. The washer motor must get a signal from the wiper motor circuit board. So, if your pump and all wiring is good-must be the wiper. Now, if I could just resolve the f'n noise that is still plaguing my M62 motor……...

Capex, you technically disconnected the motor. Maybe it reset itself. Have you tried to plug it back in.
