I've only had the tool for a few weeks, but abs bleeding on my X (line failure) + clearing the airbag light on the X made it pay for itself.
They say the tool will get a big coding update March ish. Can't wait for that, we did a few little things on a buds 335 with it as it currently sits, can't wait to be able to do more. -Riggs

Hmm I was looking at it too, and wondering if the $4500 price (Canadian dollar stinks vs the ameri-buck!) was worth it, I have a couple scan tools and the Romanian cable and software, so I am trying to justify another scan tool , if I can do coding with it, I will be really happy! recode a guage cluster or GM3 module, and I'm sold!!!!

Foxwell and Schwaben are 100% the same but the black and grey color. I will explain... Foxwell is the maker of the software and producer of the tool. So, Schwaben and ECS gets their support from Foxwell. I bought the identical scan tools, Foxwell NT510 40USD cheaper than ECS (at FoxWellTool - Foxwell Diagnostic Tool Online Shop) than at ECS. Don't get me wrong I support them but I get my support directly from Foxwell. Best tool ever, IT CAN do everything. Found my "SES" light from a dirty solenoid. Cleaned it (not replaced) and it fixed the problem....that right there saved me $140. Damn near paid for itself on the first day. In a word, certainly is a good tool that seems to be pretty reliable and easier to use than a PC based system. I carry mine in my car and you just plug it up and start checking systems out. |

I have tried several different scanners. Every time I used them I was back to the directions. I bought the Schwaben scanner about 6 months ago. It is the first one I've had that is intuitive. For real time info I use Dashcommand on my iPad which is also very easy to use.

Foxwell NT510 is freakin' awesome on the VW/Audi cars! The number of things it can check and adjust is pretty amazing.
It's easy to use, and you really don't need an instruction manual. I frankly expected less, but waspleasantly surprised by a very comprehensive menu. |
