Help needed to select CREE LED Angel Eyes bulb on eBay

there are so much options out there now... 7w, 10w....

Has anyone purchased recently from eBay and can suggest a seller and item?
looking for a white color and bright as can be... I read all the posts on these and the limitations.. just need to purchase from a known seller..

I bought these:
2016 High Power CREE 20W LED Angel Eyes Halo Ring Light Bulbs For BMW E39/E60

And had to do some swapping of electrical connector housings. Not plug-n-play...

Once installed I was pleased with the product.

I just got these "Yita" 7W LEDs => Yita 2X White Angel Eyes Halo 7W LED Ring Marker Bulbs for x5 E39 E60 E63 E61 US | eBay

Strictly plug and play. No extra adapter or cable swap needed. Only had them on for a few days. This was an impulse buy because I couldn't resist the inexpensive $13 mods Just turned off "cold monitor" as well, so we'll see how long these will last (oh...I also turned off the yellow side parking light a la E39 - they still function as turn signals, just not parking). My previous 5W LED ebay bulb only lasted about 6 months of very "light" duty with "cold monitor" still active, which is why I hadn't done anything LED to the Angel Eyes department for the past few years...until now Figured that if it dies in 6 months, I just have to miss 1 meal to make up for it

The 20W version looked tempting, but I knew a looooooong time ago that the limiting factor was in the light tube design and the fact that I don't like a bunch of extra resistors/inverters hanging in the engine bay as some of those things are electrically very "noisy" - don't want any of that interfering with any of the engine management electronics.

As a comparison - driver side is the 7W LED bulb, passenger side is the OE 10W incandescent bulb. (I had to turn down the aperture setting to prevent over saturation so it's more of a real life representative of the actual light output). Real life impression is these LED bulbs do glow brighter than the OE bulbs. So I'm happy with the cheap mod so far

LED does look nice.. but you gotta admit.. the OEM looks very menacing.. no?

Definitely. That's one of the reason I hadn't jumped back into doing LED after my 1st set died a few years ago. Amber LED would be perfect, but I couldn't find a set for a reasonable price.

This was at the brightest time of the day. Slight green tint due to the AE rings

Well...not even 1 year with very limited usage and my Yita LED bulbs just crapped out And this is with "cold monitor" INACTIVE.

Going back to a fresh set (new bulb only) of halogen - No more LEDs

I'm running these guys here - satisfied with color, brightness and reliability. Only thing I'd caution is the quality of the wiring connector. I have yet to see a consistently reliable plug. I'm using zip ties to keep them secure, otherwise they vibrate loose every couple weeks. Again though, that's been a universal truth for aftermarket LEDs for me.

Have the same issue with the ones I bought. Had to bend the tabs in the connectors AND zip tie them together to eliminate the problem.

You're sooo right - that's one of the reasons why I've stuck with the OEM Halogens...

Parked in a dark alley, with just the AE's on, nobody will want to walk down there.
