Lightbulb Tilt/Tele steering motors

Hi All

Anyone have a source for rebuilt steering column motors? Been trying all sources I can think of and only able to find used ones from wreckers or fleabay.

Found one site that listed having new units, but those were scary prices at $450USD each

I have one of the motors out and apart on my bench. All components are fine except brushes are worn out. Have been considering tooling up to produce a few rebuilt units if no one else is making them.

cheers
Ken

If all you need are new brushes, have you checked at a electrical supply store for same size brushes from a different motor rebuild kit?

I used to get all kinds of stuff from places like that when I was in CONUS.

Brushes

Yes, I am actually going to order a brush kit that looks like it will fit; might need to shave down part of the brush, but if so should be minimal.

Will post a how to later for any that might also be interested.

thanks
Ken
