My harbor freight radiator pressure tester review
So I have a leak on my e46 330xi. Mint car with higher miles.
It started leaking and I wanted to DIY but did not have a pressure tester and did not want to spend 200+ for one. So on to HF with my 20% off coupon and bought their kit for 79.99 less the 20%.
Some of the reviews spooked me a bit, but I read enough good ones to feel like it was a decent risk. It works flawlessly. Use the orange cap for most BMW's and red for the rest. Mine took the orange. Not sure why some of the reviews said the cap would not fit, it worked fine and sealed perfectly.
Now I need to replace the radiator. I have had this car for 3 years in May and the prior owner ( a diesel mechanic) replaced the ENTIRE cooling system except for the radiator right before I bought it. Leaking at the neck near the expansion tank.
FCP Euro for an BMW OE for 243.00 with a lifetime warranty is the plan.
