Limp mode (without trans program showing)
I'm clueless and in need of help. I have a 2002 X5 4.4 with no speedometer or tach reading. It also does not show the Engine safemode or transprogram but the vehicle is in limp mode. The Passenger side mirror does not tilt when in reverse and the temp gage shows maxed out. I read the codes which show dd,dc and 78 (on my Peake code reader). Does anybody have any clues? all this happened while in the drive thru of a fast food restaurant. Thanks in advance... |

For the passenger side mirror to dip when the car is in reverse, the selection button for the mirror must be for the driver side mirror. If you don't want the mirror to dip the selection must be for the passenger side mirror.

You are probably going to have get a more comprehensive read of the codes. Perhaps a scanner that can detect communication failures between modules, etc.

Does anybody know where I can check for power output on the modules?
