AFAIK you cannot reset mpg trip or any of the on board diagnostic stuff that I don't use anyway. You can still cycle through it using the left paddle control push control which honestly was more than I expected so I'm happy as a clam. Long pressing it brings up the Program menu but obviously without the boardmonitor there is no way (that I know of) to reset them or set values, etc...

But with Torque you get all this stuff and way way more - so who cares? There are so many apps the possibilities are quite literally endless.

I have a ton of gloves.
The only thing I can see that the dual CAN bus "black box" decoder actually does is somehow make the steering controls work. I know this because when unplugged the ones on the left side of the steering wheel stop working.

Interestingly enough - they must have done some custom coding as the volume up and down actually change the volume on the tablet itself, the up and down buttons change radio presets, CD tracks, Bluetooth music, etc...

The "R/T" button changes modes (i.e. DISC, NAVI, Radio) and the "man with voice" button maps to the Bluetooth menu. There is an settings page to reprogram the buttons to custom functions but I haven't been able to get it to work.

This tells me its possible to interact with the IBUS to do OBD stuff but doesn't appear anything has been developed yet maybe because its proprietary but honestly I don't know.

Does AVIN or Dynavin have OBD integration?

I haven 't had any luck getting AirPlay screen mirroring to work yet I'm curious if it will remotely control my iPhone. I know this can be done with android using DLNA and/or VNC.

Igo Primo is a GPS application/service like Waze. One of the better ones from what I've read. I still tend to stick to Google Maps though... that's what I ran on the Avin tethered to my phone.

IGO Primo is the GPS software that came with the Pumpkin unit. Absolutely brilliant program. It even gives me street numbers as you are driving down the road. Mine came pre-installed on a micro SD card (which fits in the top left corner of the unit)

Cell Service (what we Aussies call mobile phone service) Is via a usb dongle. I just use wifi to install stuff.

IMHO Google maps routes and re-reoutes are better but Waze has the advantage of police and safety warnings so I tend to use Waze for longer trips vs. around town.

I don't know what I have built in on the Eonon. When I click NAVI button it goes to "AVIN" app I think but maybe its not working since i haven't plugged in my GPS antenna yet. Wondering if I can remap that button to Waze or GMAPS? I'm sure some hacking somewhere could do it but prob requires root.

Do you have the apk for IGO Primo?

ESPN app - watched the whole basketball game on the way to Tahoe:

Also disabled all the bloat ware on the device so it has more free memory and Is running smoother / faster now. I figured out that the button illumination color is also adjustable and found a less red orange that matches the interior dash lights better (Settings > Element). Found the full Torque version all also preloaded on the device in the OEM folder a long with a bunch of other interesting programs including one called TPMS...

One more thing I found is that the internal storage only has 1GB allocated so you can run out of space pretty quickly installing apps. Many apps can be installed to built in SD storage, and you can change the default installation location in settings. I highly recommend this.

IGO Primo came on a 4gb micro sd card with the unit when I bought it. My version would be no good for you as it has Australia and New Zealand maps. Have a look in your packaging and see if you have a micro sd card somewhere, or look at the two micro sd card slots on the front right and see if you have a card already sitting in there. I do recall I had to set it up the first time I used it.
