MGL 90-17A
Section 17A. Unless otherwise prohibited by federal law, the maximum speed for motor vehicles traveling on interstate highway route 90, the Massachusetts Turnpike, between the New York state border and the Westfield interchange, and from the Ludlow interchange to the Auburn interchange, interstate highway route 91 from the Vermont border to Northampton, Exit 21, and interstate 95 from the Newbury interchange 56 to the Danvers interchange 50, shall be sixty-five miles per hour. Stop breaking the law! Problem solved! Seriously - you could have an air pocket, i'm also wondering if your water pump is cavitating.... |

Tec, that was good! And I was only doing it under controlled conditions…….
I was thinking the same thing about the air bubble. I will work on bleeding, but thought I had. Something is up and both of your suggestions are valid. Will report back.

Wouldnt an air bubble be pushed around hard core at higher rpm? I thought air buble only stopped heat at idle.
I'm thinking something like the heat exchanger or valve block.

^^^^. Yes and no
. A "buuble", or air in your cooling is from not being bled properly. It can cause the heat to be sporadic or just plain cool all the time. At the same time (in the e36 world), in my experience, and on the e53 w/ a 4.4, normal driving will bleed the system over the course of a week or so..... I have never had issues with the heater during this 1-2 week period of adding a bit of coolant. OP, a good bleeding procedure for your cooling system is to have the front of the vehicle lifted, (expansion tank higher) and cold. Turn your heater on high with the key in position two, and this will start the circulation of the coolant. Do not fill up your expansion tank. When cold, I can hardly see any coolant in my expansion tank and the top of the "level stick" should be flush with the top of the expansion tank. |

Didn't see this mentioned, but check your heater valves. They might be getting stuck open and the System can compensate at certain speeds/engine load.
Mine seized open this past summer and made me think the AC failed at first, but it was working overtime.
