Can anyone reccomend any lug nut wheel locks so I can secure the rims on my X cause my alarm isnt sensitive at all. Anything i can do to better my X alarm system? I dont think i ever even heard it go off.

A year ago someone tried to breaking into my X by popping the driver side cylinder lock, they were unsucessful(rookies). I brought my car to the dealer and I asked him to install a dummy cylinder and his response was if he was to do so then how am I gonna enter my vehicle if my battery was to die? Is there a differnt way? Another issue I wouldve had with the dummy cylinder is in midtwon manhatten (33rd St. and 6th Ave.) for some reason I couldnt unlock my car without inserting the key and turning, it only happened in that specific midtown location.

I got the OEM BMW ones. I figure that if I ever lost my lug nut key I could get one from the dealer.

I have a set of Gorilla locks for my Boxster. That was what they had at America's Tire and I needed a new set to fit in the new wheels. Again, since I usually buy my tires from America's Tire, if I lost the key they'd have one there.

I use McGard wheel locks for my 20". They're as good as it gets.

Good call. I got the Gorillas because the car was up on the lift, needed lugs, and that's what they had. I think they're pretty good.

Don't know how good they are but BMW has wheel locks $35.00 set of four. Thats what I have so far.

This is what you need for the X5. Look under BMW.

Or you can buy them at your local wheel/tire shops.
