I've done my due diligence and looked at all possible scenarios. So frustrating!! But also exciting, I love diagnosis work. But what a PITA it's becoming! |

Calling gurus for DXC8 (DSC ) diagnosis on facelift X5
Quote:
I got the same D35 error and couldn't figure it out. I had a 4x4 light on all the time and occasionally the trifecta. Turned out to be a yaw sensor. It was giving me can bus errors as well. I was leaning towards SAS. Only took about 10 minutes to swap out yaw sensor so bought it and wahla!!!!! All lights out and off as of 2 months now. I spent months trying to run it down. Also has SLS in the beginning turned out to be EHC. My 2 cents! ![]()

/\ appreciate the input. I've verified proper working yaw rate, steering angle and all 4 wheel speed sensors already via INPA. But at this point who knows I could have an intermittent failure of the yaw rate or ignition switch and not realize it
Too many acronyms being thrown in my head recently. What is SLS and EHC? Reason I do not believe it to be a steering angle and/or wheel speed sensors is because the lights will turn in with out even moving the steering wheel or even driving forward 1 foot. |

Intermittent?
Check your grounding/earthing points too ....could be frayed or loose connection. |

That is my plan of action tomorrow. Where should I check my ground points at ?
Thank you all for everyone's help by the way |

Look what I noticed when I pulled the DME out again just for a second inspection.
This looks like a remanufactured unit? Am I right? The addition of the second (upside down sticker) and also when I ran the part number on the upside down sticker (7557385) it can back as a remanufactured DME part number. I just bought the car a few weeks ago and am battling this mystery car. Perhaps maybe an improper coding? I am starting to notice a pattern as to when the lights turn on. If I wait around 10 seconds and cycle the key I get no lights. And when I wait that allotted time something within the car (perhaps DME) resets because I can hear the throttle body do its self test. But if I then cycle the key immediately all 3 lights come on

SLS is self level suspension EHC is electronic height control Yea the new yaw sensor in mine took care of 4x4 light and abs and brake lights. But like I said my 4x4 light was always on. Sounds like something different I would have to agree. |

Been going over wiring diagrams all night
Can some one tell me where is the engine control module RELAY? I'm assuming it's within the ECU box under the hood but which relay specifically? The ABS module is powered by terminal 87 (switched) ... Relay And that would explain why if I wait 10 seconds exactly the lights will go away. It's definitely not a wiring and/or ground issue. Because at first I thought my problem was INTERMITTENT. BUT ITS NOT. There is a pattern to the problem
