What on the car is actual leather?

I'm wanting to a spring leather treatment to the X5.
I have the Lexol, but not sure what parts to do.
How can I tell what needs Lexol, and what needs vinyl stuff?

If I was you, I would use Griots Garage interior cleaner on the leather to prep. it, then hit it with their Leather Care. Use the interior cleaner on vinyl, then apply Leather Care Spray on the vinyl stuff. Your car will smell great. I always get complements from the smell. Griots products have never let me down. Way better than Lexol and those other similar products. Check them out. Car Care Products, Detailing Supplies, Auto Accessories - Griot's Garage 800-345-5789
Advance Auto Parts sells their stuff, and so does Pepboys.

I use this stuff. It's like $7 from walmart and works wonders on all the plastic/leather/vinyl in the car. Leaves everything feeling smooth and slightly slick. Typically lasts me about a month and then wears off. I'm pretty abusive to my leather though, as I work in construction and am often covered in dirt/concrete/grime.

+1 for Griots. I use their leather 3-in-1 treatment among other things. And my dad uses it exclusively on his classic street rods. It's fantastic stuff.

You might want to give them a call and ask for recommendations. They might suggest using the leather care on the vinyl too.

Also you can get their stuff on Amazon with Prime shipping.
